Steve Hilton Holds Slim Early Lead in California Governor’s Race
Steve Hilton, a Republican and former Fox Information host, held a slender lead in early votes over two Democratic opponents in California’s nonpartisan main for governor. The highest two candidates will advance to the final election in November.
“Change is coming to California, and it’s lengthy overdue. I need to simply say one thing from my coronary heart to each single one who’s voted for me. We’re not — We’re not there but, but it surely’s wanting good.” [cheers] “Tonight, the folks of the good state of California, within the best nation on earth, have spoken. [cheers] Loudly and proudly. [cheers] And whereas I take nothing with no consideration, there are many ballots left to be counted, it seems that we’re on monitor to advance to November.” [cheers] “It’d take a while to determine the place that is going. We’re going to attend till each poll is counted. We’re going to present democracy a time to work, and we all know we completed actually sturdy.” [cheers]
