ICE does in-person Instagram moderation now

ICE agents reportedly tracked down a Syracuse poll worker on Election Day to demand she remove an Instagram post, because apparently, federal immigration enforcement now includes showing up in person to do content moderation for hurt feelings.

According to Syracuse.com, Paigelynne Gonyea was working as a poll worker at the Central Library on Salina Street when two ICE agents contacted her, came inside, and handed her a warning letter over an Instagram account they claimed might violate federal law. — Read the rest
