VP Vance: A lot of fake information about potential deal to reopen Strait/end Iran nuclear

VP Vance is on the wires saying:

• Seeing a lot of fake information about a potential deal to reopen Strait and ending Iran's nuclear weapons program.

HMMMM.. I thought those were two of the main goals in the process.

Vance adds:

• Iranians are not receiving any cash
• No funds are being released for simply signing a deal or attending meeting

Why do they even have to announce something like that now, except to sooth Mr. President's ego. Just let it happen and be quiet for a change.

Given that we've heard some version of "a deal is imminent" nearly 40 times without an agreement actually being reached, the criticism of the information itself seems somewhat misplaced, though hardly unexpected.
