Yesterday, a federal grand jury charged Hunter Biden with felony expenses of evading federal taxes on international revenue. He now faces three counts of tax fraud. In September, he was indicted on three expenses associated to illegally buying a handgun when he was prohibited from doing so. If discovered responsible, he faces a prolonged jail sentence.
In MAGA land, these severe legal expenses are proof of a deep state coverup to guard the President’s son. Contemplate this extraordinary trade between CNN’s Jake Tapper and Rep. James Comer (R-KY), who does every thing he can to recommend that an individual going through 17 years in federal jail is being “protected” by the Division of Justice.
“We expect there are lots of extra crimes,” stated Comer. “And my concern is that Weiss could have indicted Hunter Biden to guard him from being deposed within the Home Oversight Committee on Wednesday.”
Tapper, clearly shocked, responded with sarcasm, “Ah! Sure! They indicted him to guard him. The traditional rubric. He indicted him to guard him. I received it.”
Comer continued, “Properly, look, Jake, this complete factor’s been a few cover-up. You realize, you’ve got received two severe—”
Interrupting, Tapper pressed, “That is why he indicted him? To guard him, to cowl it up?”
Comer retorted, “Properly, look, they indicted him on the least little factor — the gun cost and never paying taxes?”
Tapper countered, “He is going through like 17 extra years in jail.”
Comer argued, “Yeah, however look what he is performed! Anyone else —”
Tapper reminded Comer, “These are felonies.”
Comer is aware of no one is shopping for his claims. Telling blatant lies is a method of signaling his loyalty to his political chief with the intention to safe his place of energy.
